Victorian Tile

This week in the Summer Sampler 2019 Quilt Along ~ Piecing Bootcamp, we learned just how great life can be when you nest your seams. Our block, Victorian Tile, was designed by the talented Lynne Goldsworthy.

I love blocks with nested seams - mostly because I am lazy and will take any chance I get not to use my pins. When your seams are pressed in opposite directions (nesting), your block goes together that much easier with everything just lining up perfectly. Lynne gave us several opportunities to practice nesting seams with this block - even using HST units rather than flying geese for the diagonals.

My first four blocks are looking great together!

It’s not too late to join in the fun with us this summer. (It’s actually never too late!) . When you sign up, you will immediately receive all the block patterns to date. For the late comers, I’d recommend starting with the current week’s block and then making the past blocks in your spare time.
