This has been a pretty productive week. I've finished all the corner block components! I've been mentally thinking of this part as "Stage 1" and I'm happy to have it behind me.

Aren't they all so pretty together? If I didn't already have a plan for this quilt, I think I would leave them place just like this for a whole quilt top.

Although the "hard part" is now finished, I'm faced with the Stage 2 - cutting and stitching lots and lots of tiny squares. A bit less exciting and more tedious, but it will be fun to see it all start coming together.

Today I'm taking a small break from this project to work on a tutorial I'm planning for Bernina's We All Sew blog in January. It involves Essex linen, Liberty of London, and decorative stitching. Not a bad way to spend a Friday!
