Summer Sampler 2021 ~ Melted Melamine

Our 8th Summer Sampler 2021 quilt along block is Melted Melamine, designed by Ben Millett! Melted Melamine is inspired by the classic Broken Dishes quilt block. I think it’s safe to say, this was the most challenging block of the quilt along for me. I’ve never sewn an orange peel block before. I feel pretty comfortable with curves…but something about those double curves just made it a bit harder! But that’s exactly why I love these annual samplers - I am always learning new skills. I made a video on how I trimmed and pinned my orange peel units.
