Summer Sampler 2020 ~ Sign up and Coupon!

Summer Sampler 2020 ~ Easy-Piecing Summer

Today is one of the most exciting days of the year for me….Summer Sampler launch day! This is the sixth (!!!) year Lee, Katie and I have hosted a Summer Sampler Series quilt along. It’s become a really great tradition to stay focused on a project at the sewing machine over the summer. One block per week is a pretty nice commitment!

This summer our theme is “easy-piecing summer”. Great! All the blocks are easy, right? Well, not so fast. What’s easy for one person may not be easy for someone else. We all have different skill sets and different strengths. This year we’ve asked the designers to come up with blocks that are easier than they may first appear. I can’t wait to get started!

Beginning June 1, each Monday for 16 weeks you will receive a pattern via email for a quilt block. On Monday, September 21, you will receive the finishing instructions for the sashing and quilt top assembly.

When you sign up, you will also have access to a private Facebook quilt along group where you can connect with other quilters and share your photos and questions along the way.

The quilt along costs $29.99, but from today through Sunday, May 31st, you can receive $5 off using coupon code FRESHLEMONS. You can purchase your subscription here.

We have an amazing line up of designers this year! I hope you will take some time to click over to each of their website and Instagram feeds. Be prepared to be inspired!

The patterns will be written using the color way above, but as usual, we’ve mocked up the quilt with a couple other color ideas. One with the original sashing and one with minimal white sashing. These are meant to just get your creative juices flowing!

When you join the quilt along, you will receive a Welcome Packet PDF file with all sorts of handy information, including the colors in the mockup and suggested fabric amounts. Keep in mind, these are only estimates and the way you cut and use your fabric as you quilt along may require more or less fabric. You are also encouraged to use the coloring sheet in your Welcome Packet to come up with your own design!

I hope you will grab some friends, plan some “me time”, and quilt along with us this summer! We cannot WAIT to get started!
