Meanwhile…
I am waiting for batting to arrive in the mail so…you know…why not start another new project, right? I happened to be in my box of Anna Maria Horner’s Little Folks voile a couple of weeks ago and it’s almost like I forgot how silky and soft the fabric was. I decided not to let it just sit there and get lonely, so I started cutting. Lots of squares. 182, 5″ squares to be exact.
Laying this one out has been quite fun and it’s coming together quickly. A little over half the rows to go.
I will be leaving Thursday for the International Quilt Festival in Cincinnati. I’m not sure if I will blog before that so if not, I will be back shortly with a full report!

I love this pattern AND the fabric! It’s going to be beautiful!
I am going to the Quilt Festival too! Are there any local shops in the area that are on your “must go to” list? So far, my list only includes Fabric Shack…and of course, IKEA and Jungle Jim’s for the non-quilty stuff. LOL

I would say the Fabric Shack will be your one-fabric-stop destination! LOL
My non-quilty stops always include Graeters ice cream and Skyline chili.
Have a great time. And the AMH looks cool. I have a stack of voiles too…
Wow, that looks amazing so far! I’ve got a stash of these that I keep putting off working with. I really like this pattern style with them! Have an awesome time at the Festival!
Very pretty! I love this fabric – I wonder if anyone still has it for sale?? Just wondering where do you order your batting from? The festival sounds like fun… enjoy!
I order Quilter’s Dream cotton batting, white, Request loft from Hancocks-Paducah. http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/
I also have bought it at my local quilt shop, but it is just so much cheaper at Hancocks Paducah, I order from them when I am not in a huge hurry.
You still can find Little Folks online. I bought a few extra prints from Mountain of the Dragon on Etsy – http://www.etsy.com/shop/mountainofthedragon?section_id=6641108
