Winter Rainbow Quilt Top

I will save the story behind this quilt for when it is actually finished, but I wanted to share the quilt top because I’m so excited to have finished it last night! I think the bright colors will be what saves me during the long winter ahead. It is, of course, inspired by one of my quilting idols, Rita of Red Pepper Quilts. I hope everyone else in US is staying warm out there!

Off to sew Christmas presents! Nothing like a deadline!

    The charcoal and white really make those colours sing.

    This quilt looks Christmassy to me in a Summery, Southern Hemisphere kind of way (which is only relevant because where I am it is Summer, and so Christmas is pretty colourful).

    Hope it cheers up your winters for many years to come.

    I love this quilt. Would you mind if I posted a picture of it on my website? I will reference your site – I would like to comment about how I really, really want to make one similar to this. I have been thinking forever of doing something with all colors of the rainbow in it, and I love how you have combined them.
