Welcome LiMa Sews + Salt Water Fat Quarter Set Giveaway!

I’m very excited to introduce to you my first new sponsor of 2013, LiMa Sews! LiMa Sews is an Etsy store devoted to designer quilting fabrics and is operated by a wife/husband team of Linh and Mark. Linh gets to do the fun stuff like browsing and buying fabric collections and putting together daily orders, while Mark is responsible for the business side of the store, as well as the photography and graphic design.

LiMa Sews currently operates as an Etsy store but has big plans for growth including a brick-and-mortar store. The website is currently being updated to add longarm quilting services, but if you want to get in ahead of time, please e-mail Linh at limasews(at)gmail(dot)com. You can find the store at www.limasews.com, or follow Linh’s blog.

I love the modern fabric choices at Linh and Mark’s shop. All the new Pearl Bracelet colors by Lizzy House! These are pretty much my all time favorite prints for stash building.

I’m a big fan of Joel Dewberry’s new Notting Hill collection as well.

If you can’t decide what prints to get in a collection, LiMa Sews also sells precuts and bundles.

To celebrate joining us over here on the blog, LiMa Sews has offered to give one of you a FULL Fat Quarter Set of Tula Pink’s newest line, Salt Water! That’s about as good as it gets!

To enter, just leave a comment! I’d love to hear what you’d do with all these goodies. :) I’ll pick a winner Saturday evening, January 5th. Good luck everyone!

+++ Closing comments to pick one very lucky winner! +++

The winner is Nancy! Nancy said: “Quilt Quilt Quilt – that’s what I do!” – January 3, 2013 at 1:58 pm

Congratulations Nancy ~ I will email you for your address and thank you everyone for entering. :)

    Cheri J says

I kind of fell into quilting at the end of 2012. Yep, I’m a newbie. But I think I’ve found my passion. I go to bed dreamining of all the patterns I’ve seen and what I should make next. My daughter (2) is requesting a quilt in pinks. I made a quilt for my son (4) and when she saw his the first thing out of her mouth was “I’m going to check my room”. It just broke my heart because of course her room was the same old same old. I don’t have a stash to draw from and need some pink right away! My son’s favorite color is green and mine is blue! I know everything would be put to good use. I have lots of evenings at home ahead of me (DH diagnosed with stage 4 cancer) and could use the diversion. Congrats on the new sponsor. I love the patterns I’ve seen on your site so far. Thanks for the clear and concise directions. I am leaning towards Lemon Squares for my daughters quilt. I like a modern element in the design. Thanks for this opportunity. Happy New Year!

    Cathy says

I recently moved from a huge yard with a large farm pond in Michigan to an apartment not too far from the Pacific ocean in CA. I decorated it in a beachy style so these fabrics, particularly the blues, would go really well for a quilt.

I forgot to mention that I had to leave most of my fabric behind so I am starting over in fabric collection. Living near the water means everything to me. And it is colder than I thought in northern CA, hence the need for quilts. After moving here alone for three months for a new job, my husband drove out with 3 cats and a golden retriever and my sewing machine–all extremely necessary. I’ve been sewing ever since.

  293. 538

Thanks for the link, I ove Etsy! I find I get better and faster service than from some of the ‘big’ online stores. One took 8 days just to MAIL my order, plus the 2 weeks it takes to get here, did not make me a happy camper! Sorry for the rant, just happy to have a new (to me!) shop to order from! I think I would use them for a quilt or two, one with just prints, one with a white or cream, Chinese coins maybe? Thanks!
