This book has 12 quilt projects that I think would inspire any modern quilter. You know I love solids…
Scrappy spider web – amazing! Something like this is on my quilt bucket list.
And I really love the minimalistic look of these off centered flying geese. And the dark solid background? It’s really striking.
Kelly and Andie also have a thorough tips and techniques section which is always helpful to those just starting out quilting.

It’s so fun to see all the Modern Quilt Books and patterns coming out! I was a bit tired of cutting up fabirc squares and sewing them back together. Modern quilting has made sewing ‘FUN” for me again!

I just bought this book on Tuesday! I love the colors of all the quilts. It has given me the juice to finish quilting the project in my machine and start something new. I love how they define “modern quilter.” I always knew I was not traditional, but it feels fun to declare “my cuts aren’t always accurate and my colors are strange, but that is Modern and it is sposto look like that!.”
