Welcome to The Intrepid Thread and Giveaway
Today I’m happy to introduce to you my latest sponsor, The Intrepid Thread! Fabric shop owner Julie Dueck opened The Intrepid Thread 1-1/2 years ago with the help of her husband (AKA the shipping department), her teenagers (shop helpers) and her online shop assistant Tina. They are hoping to open a brick and mortar store in the next couple months, so it’s an exciting time for them!
The Intrepid Thread has tons of modern fabrics. Now that it’s turning fall like here in Chicago, I’m thinking about starting to work with some holiday prints. This new line Cherry Christmas by Aneela Hoey is so adorable.

You may remember the quilt I just finished up using Bari J’s Lilly Belle line for Art Gallery Fabrics. I can’t say enough good things about that fabric – looks beautiful and feels beautiful!

I really love these Echino prints.

Intrepid Thread also has precuts, bundles (fat quarter and half yard), patterns and an extensive sale section with up to 50% off MSRP.
You can keep up with the latest happenings at The Intrepid Thread by signing up for their newsletter and following them on Facebook.
In celebration of joining the fun here on my blog, The Intrepid Thread is giving away a collection of Fat Quarters from the new Mama Said Sew line from Sweetwater. LOVE!

To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment! I’d love to hear what you would do with these beautiful fabrics. I will pick a winner Wednesday evening, October 3rd. Good luck everyone!
++ Whew, I was so caught up in the debate last night I forgot to pick a winner! Closing comments and picking a winner now. ++

The winner is #166, Deb A! Deb said “I’ve been collecting red/white/black material for a while now to create a quilt for my son, his favorite colors – this would add to the stash! Thanks!”
This will be a perfect addition to your son’s quilt! Thanks for entering everyone!

Oh my! I love Mama Said Sew! I would make a quilt, of course. I am in love with the black, red, and white color scheme!
Honestly don’t need another project right now, but I love those medallions!
Would love to make a baby quilt for my friend. Thanks for that giveaway!
I love Julie! Those fabrics would probably end up in a quilt.
What fun fabric…of course they’d make it into a neat quilt. The polka dot and small floral would be cute in the pincushions I am making using vintage jello molds. Fun stuff!
Yummy.. I wanna make a patched curtain maybe! or maybe a set of sewing machine cover + scrap basket..
Love that bundle! Not quite sure what I would make…. But they would be loved and put to good use if they came to live with me! Thanks for the great give away!
Oooooh lovely! I think I would use Lilybelle in a tunic top or dress, and the Echino in a nice tote bag. What a great giveaway x
Great color scheme for a quilt! Thanks
Love this fabric, especially the txt prints. I’d love to make a fabulous mini quilt with it.
I would have to make a quilt with these. I do not have a quilt for myself.
I have heard great things about Intrepid Thread and will add it to my stores to check out!
This is a line that hit me like a freight train the very first time I saw it and I have wanted some ever since! I just love it, so I would make something I would see and use every day – maybe a pair of pillows. Thanks for the chance to win!
Welcome
I love this shop too. Just picked up an order at the customs office.
Mh…. I would make a nice and cosy quilt for the cold days coming soon.
Susanne
What a great line of fabric. It would make an awesome quilt for my mom’s birthday.
If I am really honest I would probably just pat them for quite a while, they are so lovely! Then I would make a couple of cushions for my lounge.
Beautiful fabrics. Those colors would work for the quilted placemats I’ve been planning to make. Maybe some napkins to match! Thanks for a chance to win.
Julie is great – and so incredibly fast!I I would incorporate the Sew Mama Sew fabrics into a quilt I was hoping to make for my MIL.
Definitely something patchwork! A lap quilt or patchwork totes would be my choice!
I have started making Christmas gifts. These fabrics would make great pillows.
I have an improv piecing class coming up with Capital Area Modern Quilt Guild….this would be awesome for the project!!!!!! Thanks for the chance.
I would add these fabrics into some others that I have that I’m planning to use to make a quilt for my upcoming niece or nephew
I’d make some items for the kitchen and table
Thanks Intrepid Thread!
Hoenstly… I would most likely hoard it (hmmm… save it I mean) for some time like I’m currently doing with the Hometown I have. That’s what Sweetwaters fabric do to me *LOL* Seriously, The Mamma sais sew is one of my fall must-haves. I adore the line. Have no specific quilt project in mind but I know the perfect project will appear some day.
What a great sponsor to have, the service is brilliant, anyone who lives near her store is so lucky!
I think I’d use the fabrics in a quilt (after drooling over them for a while!)
thanks to you and Julie for the giveaway
Love those medalions and wavy lines! That line would make a great dustcover for a sewing machine! So appropriate
They are beautiful. I think it would have to be a set of cushions, maybe with some Christmas fabrics mixed in!
I’d definitely make a baby blanket with those!
Love that bundle. Not sure what I’d make, probably a lap quilt for those wonderful evenings when I can open my windows and finally enjoy Florida fall!
A quilt for sure! Very pretty fabric, wonderful shop, thanks for the giveaway!
I LOVE that print with the framed animal portraits! I also love the mounted deer heads with Buddy Holly glasses. Probably because it takes a second to recognize what’s quirky about them. The fabric with the picture frames could be really fun, though, since many of the frames are empty — I’d love to print photos of my family on fabric in the right size to applique into some of the empty frames. You know, so there’s a picture of a giraffe, an owl… and then my mother-in-law.
I love this line! I think they would make a fantastic picnic quilt!
I’d make an over the fireplace quilt for my mother in law. Those are the colors in their living room.
I love this line! I would probably make a sampler of star blocks.
I love the Intrepid Thread and I love Mama Said Sew! I would make a quilt with the fabric and maybe some fabric baskets with the scraps.

Really love this line ~ the medallions are wonderful ~ I would probably make a quilt for someone (maybe even me) with this lovely fabric!
thanks for the giveaway!
I really like the pink interspersed with black white and reds. I see some flouncy skirts for my beautiful little grand daughters…..as well as some aprons and quilted kitchen items….If I win I ‘ll probably have to buy more fabric to get it all done!
Love the bundle! I don’t know what I’d make just yet, but something for my sewing room. Maybe some fabric art on canvases, maybe some fabric baskets, or maybe I’d start a quilt that could only be for in here!
This is such a soft and sweet bundle of fabric! I have four close friends who are pregnant right now, all with their first child. At the moment I don’t know if any of them will have a girl, but chances are at least one of them will! I think this fabric would make a very sweet baby girl quilt.
I do need a new quilt project and what great fabric to use!
Thanks for the opportunity.
I’m seeing Christmas stockings for the red based fabrics, retro pot holders for the pink polka dots, with maybe a few Kindle covers from the rest – or I could just make a quilt!
what great fabrics
What a fun color line. I don’t know that I’ve ever done anything like those before. I would definitely put them in a quilt.

These are the perfect colors to make my sister a quilt. She’s very picky and matchy matchy but I think she would love this bundle!
I would make a quilt for my sister for Christmas with this fabric, she knows I’m just getting interested in quilting and said “unleash your inner creativitiy on unsuspecting fabric!” Love it!
I think I might have to just pet it for awhile but I think it would become a quilt and then I would have so much fun with all the scraps!
I might actually make something for myself with some free fabric
