A Giveaway from Christa Quilts

Happy Wednesday! First off, I wanted to thank everyone so much for your kind words about my daughter’s new quilt! Reading all your comments made my day, big time. :)

Today we lucky enough to have a giveaway from Christa Quilts. She is generously offering a $20 gift certificate to her shop so you can buy anything you want! Woot woot!

All you need to do to enter is leave a comment. Christa is trying to decide what new fabric to order – she’d love to know if you would rather see:

1. More Kona Cotton Solids – here’s what she currently carries.

2. The new Riley Blake Chevronshere’s her current Riley Blake offerings.

3. Something completely different – you suggest!

Good luck everyone! I’ll pick a winner Friday evening.

++ Closing Comments to Pick a Winner ++

The lucky winner is #96, Kate! Kate said “How about both? :) If I had to choose one, it’d be the chevrons.”

Congratulations Kate and thank you so much to everyone for commenting. I know Christa has some great ideas now of what to order next!

As someone living overseas I love ChristaQuilts because of the cheap postage. Thanks Christa. I would love to see you stock the ‘Bella’ by Lotta Jansdotter range, and other fabrics like that.

    Sue Preece says

Luscious colour for me. I love fabric such as Amy Butler’s Lark range, love beautiful ornate fabrics, particularly in the jewel colours.

    Andrea says

I agree with the comment I add text prints – I love those right now. Thanks for the chance to win – the shop site looks great.

  4. 27

    says

I would love to see Art Gallery fabrics – they feeeel so gooood! Not a fan of Kona (though love your selection in the quilt) – it doesn’t feel good to me – there are better solids with a much gentler hand feel.

    Cheryl B. says

Iwould love to see some kona fat quarter bundles she could make up so that I could start to build my stash of solids.

  6. 40

    says

Definitely more kona solids! I am so into solids lately. I can’t get enough! I’m in love with modern quilts that use solids. I think they’re timeless, and will never go out of style, like some fabric trends.

  7. 41

    Deb H. says

I’m not a huge fan of chevrons, even though they are all the rage…so, I guess i would go with the solids. A good selection of solids is a must to match all the different collections out there.

    Erin says

I’d love for her to add some Art Gallery prints, but she has a lot of other wonderful selections. (I love the Dr. Seuss prints!! I’d spend that $20 pretty quick on those alone…) Thanks for the chance to win!

    Lindsay F says

I personally love a shop with a good Kona selection. More is always better! I would personally love to see some charcoal to go with your extensive collection if neutrals.

  10. 59

    KerryQ says

I’m more of a print girl. I buy solids for specific projects, but I Shop for prints! Thank you! I will now fantasize 47 ways to spend that 20 bucks!

  11. 64

    Liz says

More variety of solids and stash builders. It’s nice to have a one stop shop and not have to go to other sites/vendors for missing colors!

  12. 69

    says

The thing I’ve been looking for lately is bundles of coordinated FQs that are NOT necessarily from the same line. It’s tough to be confident that things are going to really match when you’re looking at different photos on a monitor where you aren’t 100% positive that things are their true colors!

  13. 76

    Teresa says

I am loving the Kona Cotton Solids – my last two quilts were made using just the solids – I love the modern look it gives the quilt. Please pick me….

  14. 78

    Marilyn says

Love the solids and text prints. Also, Shot cottons would be great – giving the solids a bit of texture.

  15. 80

    bee says

the solids are great! i’d suggest the Lizzy House pearl bracelets – i think they are being re-released as a rainbow collection.

  16. 82

    Sharmond says

Your daughter’s quilt is indeed very lovely. Kona solids are wonderful and always great to use in a quilt. Thanks for opportunity.

  17. 88

    says

More Kona solids please, and what I would really love is some kind of color chart to help me pick the right color when I’m ordering online — Maybe a swatch set or charm pack with one of each color, numbered so you know what to order more of?

  18. 97

    Lindsey F says

Kona solids are always a favorite. I also like to use stripes for my binding so more selection in stripes would be great.

  19. 107

    Kirstin says

Love the Kona solids. Thank you for the chance to win. I just came across this website last week and have been addicted! :)

  20. 115

    says

I think that she would do well adding the chevrons and also possibly adding any solids to match the chevrons…if she doesn’t already carry those colors.

  21. 127

    Kacey w. says

I really like pink castle fabrics’ bundles. I don’t trust my own eye on the computer screen, but I trust the shop owners!

  22. 128

    Judith says

You really can’t go wrong with more solids, but I think that some shot cottons would make a good addition to your fabric selection.

  23. 132

Sandy A in St. Louis says

You can’t go wrong with the basics, so I say More solids! (Oh, and did I mention that I am on a solid kick right now? :))

    Thanks for the give away!

  24. 142

    Jeannette says

I would like to see more chevrons and more Riley Blake in gerneral. :) The krona solid colors in the shop are fine.

  25. 144

    Johanna says

I love both choices! personally I prefer the chevrons. Kona solids are more of a longterm strategy and I like to order them from someone who has all the solids I need.

  26. 150

    says

I just found out about this cool shop! I love the variety and the prices already. There’s a fabric manufacturer called Blend that i would love to see for sale.

  27. 156

    Anne Marie says

I will have to say the Kona Solids. They are so nice to the touch and the colors are wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win. Love Christa’s international shipping rates.

  28. 160

    says

I can never get enough solids. Expanding the color selection is great. I’ve also just recently fallen in love with the Michael Miller Couture Solids

  29. 168

    SewLindaAnn says

I think a complete selection of solids would be perfect. That way she could have specials with fat qtr. or half yard bundles in color selections.

  30. 169

    Mhairi says

I think that a good collection of the Winterkist fabric range would be wonderful to add to the shop.
Otherwise, the chevrons are great too.

  31. 172

    christy says

Oh my……. those Kona solids are fabulous.
Would love to see them as bundles, jelly rolls or packaged in a group of fat eighths.
Yep, you just gotta love ‘em

  32. 173

    DrueTurpin says

Im so excited to find your blog! There is a new world out there for me to explore. I love your modern quilts, and I have a funny feeling that my traditionalist ways may be numbered!

  33. 174

    says

I love the solids, but would love to add more “not quite solids” to my stash, like painter’s canvas, sketch, etc. Thanks for the chance to win.

  34. 181

    Erin says

While I always love more Kona options, I feel like they’re not that hard to find, so I say go chevrons (and echo those who ask for other not-solids).
