Summer Sampler Series Round Up

Here they are in all their glory – the twelve blocks of the Summer Sampler Series. I do plan to arrange them in probably the same order as the icon on the summary page. Now to think about finishing details…to sash or not to sash? If you haven’t checked out the Flickr group to see everyone else’s completed blocks, be sure to stop by. There are some amazing creations!

Lovely, so fresh, bright and modern. Well done. (I’m still thinking of participating but I don’t know if I have enough fabric; it’s a forty minute drive – each way – to the store to get more that I may not need).

I have loved sewing along with this series, I have a couple more to do as I work full time plus do longarm quilting so it has been a bit hard to get it all done. Thanks so much for a wonderful tutorial and quilt along. Loved it.

Beautiful! I’m anxious to see whether you sash or not! I jumped back into my sampler after being gone for 2 weeks – I’ve missed working on it! :)

they are so beautiful, a skinny sash might give them the frame they need for their own beauty. the color could be a plum grey tone, as not to match but compliment. you have done an outstanding quilt~

The blocks are so summery, if that is a word. They are beautiful and bright, which I love, and refreshing. Makes me want to eat some sherbet. LOL Love the blocks and watching how they evolved.

I loved watching your quilt along and hope to eventually make some of the blocks myself. I’ve checked out Barbara Brackmans book and plan on purchasing one.

I’d love to see how you take Barbara’s book and translate a block into paper piecing. I find that part really fascinating.

Although I am not as far as you are yet I will definitively sash mine. I think it frames the block and gives each more emphasis.
