Summer Sampler Series : Arkansas Traveler

We are on Block #6 of the Summer Sampler Series, the Arkansas Traveler. I love this one! Lee has the tutorial up on her blog, Freshly Pieced, and it looks really simple. After today we are halfway done with our blocks!

Don’t forget to post your block to the Flickr group, as well as any questions you have while making your block. Check back here later, I will post my block hopefully later today.

Update: Here’s my block!

I have six half yards of fabric – three solids and three coordinating prints. Will that be enough to make the twelve blocks based on about one fat quarter per block? I better join in before the fun’s all over! (even if it is winter “down under”!)

I think that should be enough. The paper piecing takes a bit more than a “normal” block. Could you add a little more solids at the end if you run out?

These colours are beautiful – where are the fabrics from?
