Flower Sugar Love
Yesterday and today I decided to catch up on a couple projects I had been promising to make for my little girl. I knew some of Lecien’s Flower Sugar fabric would be a perfect match for her room. I bought mine from Kerri at Sew Deerly Loved.
First, I created some bunting for above her bed. The front is the Flower Sugar prints, the back is just solid pink. I kind of winged it, but I think they turned out cute. I used the 30 degree guides on my cutting mat to create the triangles. I made just quilt binding to sew them all together.
With the left over triangles (and a few extra) I decided to make a matching pillow. I winged this one too…it was my first time making a non square pillow. My first time binding a pillow. And my first time making a yoyo. But overall, I think it was a success!
My daughter certainly is a fan!

I’m a huge Flower Sugar fan. I’m using it for my Summer Sampler Series quilt. I would love to make a pillow like that if you have time for another tutorial at some point. Blessings!
Really pretty and fresh and gorgeous all at the same time!
Verry pretty! Your daughter, the bunting and the pillow!
Who made the quilt? Pillow is cute. Cheers. Lauren
I should probably be a bit ashamed that the quilt is from Pottery Barn Kids. LOL But in my defense, I bought it before I started quilting.
Oooo! That is darling! SO cute!
Absolutely gorgeous – loving the cushion.
Very Cute! Love the pillow!
That’s so cute, Faith! I’ll bet she loves her room even more. It’s adorable.
A beautiful room for a beautiful daughter. Her room looks fantastic!
Beautiful! Love the fabrics. I have been out of quilting for a few months as we’ve been m-o-v-i-n-g. Not fun with two little ones! I’m looking for motivation to pull out my sewing machine from its box, get it all set up and finish quilting a baby gift. (Lemon Squares!)
So cute! Gosh, I love bunting flags.
Did you make the curtains? I think I might attempt to make some of those…
No, I am lame. LOL Didn’t make the curtains. I believe they are from the Land of Nod outlet which is dangerously only 7 minutes from my house.
precious! love making the little ones happy!
love your pillow, the design is so cute.
Everything is just adorable, Faith. As is your daughter
Lovely, lovely, lovely!
Beautiful!!!
Darling! Great job on the pillow. And I just love those buntings…I made one a few years ago that we put up at birthdays
Also, LOVE that fabric. Thanks for the store link….I may have to get some of that to start a baby quilt
That pillow is too stinkin’ cute – and your daughter, too!
I’m not going to show Eliza the pictures of A’s room because she’ll want me to do her room the exact same way. It’s so beautiful! I have a project that uses yoyos for the center of a flower that goes on a t-shirt for girls. Haven’t done it yet. I hope it’s easy.
you “think” the pillow was a success? it’s awesome, I LOVE that pillow. may have to make one now. It is so so pretty xo amy
