Welcome The Loopy Ewe!

Today I’d like to introduce you to my latest blog sponsor, The Loopy Ewe! The Loopy Ewe started as a yarn shop 8 years ago, and has recently grown to add fabric as well. I always am intrigued and love to hear how small business owners got their start, so I asked one of the owners, Sheri, to tell me a bit about their shop.

Sheri: “We started The Loopy Ewe in a little corner of our basement in St. Louis, back in the summer of 2006. At that time, we carried a few lines of sock yarn to sell online, and thought it would be great to reach a point of a few orders a day. Little did we know! We quickly outgrew our basement and moved out into a brick and mortar space a year later. With that move and extra space, came the opportunity to add in all kinds of yarn – not just sock yarn any more.

We loved St. Louis, but had always vacationed in the mountains and hoped to live in Colorado one day. So, in 2011, we sold our house and moved the shop to Fort Collins, CO. (One moving van for the household, two moving vans for the shop!) We love living here and have a pretty view of the mountains outside the shop windows.

Last summer we expanded our space once again so that we could open up the fabric side of our business. Having been a long time sewist and quilter, I was thrilled to see the space fill up with bolts of beautiful fabrics. Now we have 7000 square feet of gorgeous yarns and fabrics for people to wander through (either in person or online) for inspiration, and to find their next project! We add new yarn to the website most every Monday, and new fabric is added most every Thursday. Between the arrival of new stock and the departure of orders sent out, we keep the postal service and our UPS/Fed Ex guys busy!”

The Loopy Ewe ships most orders within 24 hours (Monday through Saturday) and offers free U.S. shipping on orders over $75.

They also have a rewards program which gives you a $25 Loopy Ewe credit, every time your orders accumulate to $250. (Plus other fun rewards – you can read about the program here.)

The Loopy Ewe sponsors Quarterly Challenges, a virtual Camp Loopy each summer, and a yearly Fall Fling retreat.

Unique to the shop: Loopy Short Stacks in the fabric shop, and The Loopy Ewe Solid Series, Seasonings Series, Loopy Legends, Celebrations, and Loopy Cakes in the yarn shop.

Big welcome to The Loopy Ewe, so happy to have you on board!
