The Murder Mystery Quilt

Whipstitch Murder Mystery Quilt : Fresh Lemons Quilts

Last week one of my quilty friends Deborah Moebes of Whipstitch Modern Sewing emailed me and asked if I was interested in checking out her new Murder Mystery Quilt project and sharing it with all of you. If any of you have met Deborah in person, you know she is pretty high energy, hilarious, and just has a very infectious personality. So I kinda figured that whatever she had up her sleeve, it was going to be awesome.

The Murder Mystery Quilt is a year long (month by month) quilt along. Each month you receive not only a quilt block with complete directions, but a mystery chapter to read. The blocks might have a new-to-you technique, ranging from half square triangles to curves to applique. There are full directions and tips so you can successfully meet each challenge.

Each month there are clues to help you solve the whodunnit. The final quilt is also a mystery. You will not know the layout of the blocks and how they all fit together until the end. As time goes on, you have a chance to solve the mystery and be entered in a chance to win a prize basket.

I just think this is the most creative and fun idea! I have always loved reading mysteries and solving problems. You can find out more about this quilt along on the Whipstitch Blog. If you are ready to jump into the fun and put your detective hat on, you can subscribe in Deborah’s shop. Registration ends on February 29th ~ so don’t think too long!

Be sure to tell your mystery loving friend about, Martin Walker’s French police chief, Bruno. It is a fun, delightful tour of the food and wine country of the Perigord région of France with usually a “dead guy” and a bad guy that Bruno has to sort out. He is a great cook, loves dogs and horses and would love to get married….if only just the right women would come along.
Start with Black Diamonds or Dark Vineyard…..yup …one is about the truffle business and the other is about wine consortiums.
    Happy Quilting….And Bon Appétit
PS…they are also on Audible that way you can listen and Quilt!

Hi Aileen – I’ve forwarded on your comment to Deborah. I’m sure you’ll hear back from her. If her inbox is anything like mine, it may take her a couple days to keep up on the volume.
