Welcome Fanciful Fabrics!

Fanciful Fabrics

Today I’m very pleased to introduce Fanciful Fabrics, my newest blog sponsor. Owner Karen Lester opened Fanciful Fabrics in 2012, an online Etsy shop carrying modern quilt and apparel fabrics, ribbons, quilt & apparel patterns (even several of mine! :)), books, and handwork supplies (embroidery transfers and floss).

Karen has been sewing for over 30 years and she loves to create with fabric. She opened Fanciful Fabrics after teaching school for several years and deciding to follow her passion and open a fabric business.

I asked Karen to tell me a bit about her shop – she is very committed to providing top notch customer service.

Karen ~ “Customer service is #1 for me. I answer convos and ship orders quickly. Orders placed by 1:00 pm Central Time are shipped the same day (except Sundays and holidays) unless otherwise specified in a shop announcement.

I love to put together custom quilt kits. I am happy to take photos of fabrics so that the customer can compare colors and designs. It’s important to me to be able to serve the customer as if she were here with me in person.”

At Fanciful Fabrics, U.S. shipping is free for orders over $40 with the code SHIPFREE.

Welcome Gotham Quilts ~ and a Discount!

A few weeks ago, I received an email from a brand new fabric shop that was interested in sponsoring this blog. I went on over to check out Gotham Quilts (such a cool name) and was so excited! A beautiful new shop full of beautiful new fabrics! Gotham Quilts was started just this year by fabric and quilt lovers Andrea and Ivete. They live in Manhattan and plan to open a brick and mortar storefront next year.

I did some poking around their shop – so easy to navigate. You can shop fabric by Category, Designer, Manufacturer, and Color. They carry a ton of the new American Made Brand solids. I haven’t used these but they are on my list! Love the idea of supporting fabric manufacturing in my home country.

Ivete is a huge Tula Pink fan, and Gotham Quilts carries her latest collection Moon Shine.

I loved Far, Far Away by Heather Ross the first time around (when it was on double gauze), but I was even more thrilled when it was reprinted on quilting cotton!

If you love bundles or are looking for holiday gift ideas for a quilter, Gotham Quilts offers precuts and kits as well.

Now for the discount! If you sign up for the Gotham Fabrics newsletter, you will receive a coupon for 10% off your order of full priced fabrics. You can find the sign up on the very bottom right of their shop, under “NEWSLETTER SIGNUP”. You can also keep in touch with them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

Welcome Gotham Fabrics!

Welcome Sew Modern ~ and a Coupon!

Sew Modern

Today I’m welcoming a new sponsor to the blog ~ I’d love to introduce you to Sew Modern! I met shop owner Lauren nearly 2 years ago, in a Starbucks at QuiltCon! It was so great talking to her, and I was thrilled when she contacted me to start sponsoring the blog.

Sew Modern is a brick and mortar shop located in Los Angeles, California, as well as an online store. For those of you that aren’t lucky enough to live in southern California (like me, but I was born there!)…doesn’t this look so fun and welcoming? I love knowing my fabric comes from a happy home.

Sew Modern

Sew Modern stocks fabric yardage, scrap packs, bundles and precuts.

They also carry every color of Robert Kaufman Kona cotton solids and many other solids as well. You know I love solids!

Sew Modern stocks patterns and notions as well, including some of my favorite “This Took Forever” labels. I seriously want to slap that onto every single quilt I make.

Have you heard about the SOAK nail polish that matches your favorite fabrics? They have some of that too!

You can keep in touch with Sew Modern by subscribing to their blog (tutorials! recipes! ~ subscription on the righthand column of their blog), signing up for their newsletter, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram.

And now for the coupon! Sew Modern has generously offered all of you a 20% discount off regular priced fabric in the shop, using coupon code FRESH20. The code is good through Tuesday, October 7th. Thank you so much Sew Modern! And thank you to all of you for your awesome support of my sponsors.

Welcome Pink Chalk Fabrics!

Pink Chalk Fabrics

Today I’m very pleased to share with you a brand new sponsor of Fresh Lemons Quilts, Pink Chalk Fabrics! I’ve been a fan of Pink Chalk Fabrics for quite some time. In fact, I was curious when I discovered owner Kathy Mack’s shop so I went digging in my email Inbox. It looks like I first ordered from her in 2011 – Moda Bella Solids in Stone. Still a favorite!

Pink Chalk Fabrics is an awesome shop that has modern fabrics:

And lots of fun extras including some of the most glorious ribbon you will ever see:

Tons of notions:

Zippers in a wide range of colors:

And…nail polish! That’s right, you can actually have your nails match your favorite fabrics.

One thing I really recommend, sign up for Pink Chalk’s newsletter, “Chalk Talk”. I receive it and it is always full of great information, including their “What Goes With What?” series. Super helpful when trying to coordinate fabrics.

You can also find Pink Chalk Fabrics on the below social media sites:

Big welcome Pink Chalk Fabrics and thank you so much for supporting my sponsors!
