Welcome Fabric Please! and Coupon

Today I am happy to introduce you to my newest blog sponsor, Fabric Please! Fabric Please! is an online fabric and notions shop owned by fabric lover and creator Rita Ferber. Sewing most of her life, Rita knew that opening her shop would be the perfect way to help others connect with fabrics that they love, while giving her the flexibility to work from her home in Canada.

Fabric Please! Fabric Please! Fabric Please!

I asked Rita to tell me a bit about her shop.

My tastes are a bit eclectic, leaning toward modern, fresh prints with a few pretty florals thrown in to balance it all out. I try to carry a selection from the leading designers (Tula Pink, Lotta Jansdotter, Jen Kingwell, Art Gallery fabrics, Moda to name a few). I usually stock what appeals to me but if there is something a customer is looking for, I will try my best to either get it in the store or help them find it somewhere else for the best price. I’d rather have a customer go away happy instead of just going away.

I love saving money and if I get a deal, so do my customers. You won’t find “price gouging” on my site – ever! I try to save my customers money by offering flat rate shipping ($8-CAN, $15-US, $30-INT) so they have more money to spend on the thing that matters most… pretty fabric!

Fabric Please! order packaging with free fat quarter

Every order placed with Fabric Please! gets a little “something for nothing”. With each order there is either a free fat quarter, a mini-spool of Aurifil thread or a notion of some sort. It’s my way of saying “thank you”!

Welcome Worldwide Label!

Worldwide Label : Fresh Lemons Quilts

Today I’d like to give a big welcome to my newest blog sponsor, Worldwide Label! I first ordered from Worldwide Label back in 2012. I really wanted woven labels for my projects. I designed something simple that would work with any project, no matter what the design or fabrics used. I just loved how they turned out, and over the last 3 years I have been adding them to pretty much everything!

Adding a label to a project not only helps memorialize who made the quilt/bag/clothing, but takes the finished item to the next level professionally.

Worldwide Label offers a variety of options from woven labels (text only or with artwork), print labels, woven patches, size tags, hang tags and business cards.

My labels are a woven loop-folded label with a white background and dark gray text.

Welcome Dinkydoo Fabrics!

Dinkydoo Fabrics

Today I’m happy to introduce you to the newest sponsor on my blog, fabric and notion shop Dinkydoo Fabrics! Dinkydoo is located in Vancouver, Canada (which just so happens to be on my vacation bucket list) and carries mostly modern & contemporary pre-cuts.

Owner Alicia has always been a crafty person: cross-stitching, pattern drawing, english paper piecing, clothes making, and quilt making. I asked Alicia how she got started with Dinkydoo.

I started Dinkydoo mostly because of a big lack of good online Canadian fabric stores. Some of the bigger places usually had cheaper discounted fabric and to get to a really good ones I’d have to drive pretty far. Then when I talked to our distributor up here I found out that because we’re in Vancouver, we can usually get new Moda pre-cuts a few months before the US does! It’s very exciting to be able offer our best neighbours early access to some of the great new Moda collections before anyone else.

I really hope everyone enjoys Dinkydoo, and if you see the “Chat” button online, don’t be a stranger! (I’m always glad to help out in any way I can!).

I love the variety of fabrics in the shop. For my USA readers, keep in mind that listed prices are in Canadian dollars, but there is an easy button on the right hand side of the item listings that changes the prices to US dollars or the Euro.

You can keep up with Dinkydoo online at their blog, Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram. They also offer a 15% discount off entire orders by signing up to their Newsletter (scroll to the bottom of the homepage to sign up).

Please join me in welcoming Dinkydoo! Thank you all for your generous support of my sponsors.

Welcome Quilter’s Bug!

Quilter's Bug / Quilter's Stash Box : Fresh Lemons Quilts

Those of you with an eagle eye may have noticed I have a new sponsor on the blog ~ Quilter’s Bug and Quilter’s Stash Box! Quilter’s Bug and Quilter’s Stash Box is a wife (Brenda) and husband (James) owned company located in western Maryland.

I love hearing how small business owners got their start. Brenda tells me:

We previously owned a tech company and after selling our share decided we wanted to pursue more creative ventures. Along with creating videos and documentaries (one feature length and a WIP on vintage sewing machines) as well as e-commerce websites for other quilters and designers, we wanted to have a business that blended our two artistic interests – quilting and technology.

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for long, you know I was also previously in the tech industry. So I especially love their story!

Quilter’s Bug offers a modern, online community for quilters. There’s chatting, online quilt journals, classified ads, business directories, groups and community swaps.

They also offer a very creative and fun subscription ~ the Quilter’s Stash Box!

Quilter’s Stash Box is a subscription service that provides a monthly variety of inspiring, fun, and practical surprises for quilters of all skill levels. Boxes contain a minimum retail value of $48 with shipping included throughout the U.S., and subscribers can enjoy steep savings with quarterly and annual subscription terms, as much as $108 off of for a year of monthly Stash Boxes. In addition to quality patterns, fabric, thread, notions, DVDs, books, magazines, and accessories, subscribers also receive a year-long membership to Quilter’s Bug, the first truly modern social network for quilters. The Stash Box container is a 12″ x 12″ craft box, 2 inches high, that is an ideal size for storage – you can mark the box with the included labels, then stack them neatly in your sewing room to organize work-in-progress and any sewing supplies.

Brenda sent me a Quilter’s Stash Box to check out and share my thoughts with you.

My box contained a bundle of seasonal Halloween fabric, along with a pattern to make a cute table topper with it. It also had some Best Press (which I’ve been wanting to try for quite some time!), a tin with pins, a Clover seam ripper and a fun decorative tag and pin. I think Quilter’s Stash Boxes are great for people that are looking to build their stash, like surprises, and enjoy the feeling of treating themselves each month!

You can find out more about how it works here with a video demonstration here. You can also follow them on social media on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.

I hope you will join me in welcoming Quilter’s Bug and Quilter’s Stash Box, and thank you for supporting my sponsors!
