Summer Sampler Series : Flower Garden Path

Today is day four of the Summer Sampler Series! Head on over to Katie’s blog for instructions on making the Flower Garden Path block. I can’t wait, this is also one of my favorites! I’m told there are lots of half square triangles, so it will be time to flex those trimming muscles.

I will be posting the block tutorial Wednesday and it will be our first paper pieced block. {Take deep breathes, you can do it!} For those participating and who have not done paper piecing before, please read through this great, simple tutorial.

As always, don’t forget to post your block and any questions in the Flickr group. Check back later for my finished block!

Update: Here’s my block!

Enjoying the summer sampler quilt along. Ten years ago I lived in Naperville and I had a garden plot. I seem to remember my children, who were young at the time, would help water and sit in the dirt…it was a lot of work. And I might add my garden never looked as good as yours. Looking forward the paper piecing.

Me too! And I love the look of these blocks in solids. They look so fresh! I hardly ever use solids and have been thinking I really need to start. 🙂
