New Flickr Groups

As more of you email me photos of projects you have made from my blog, through patterns, tutorials or just quilt inspiration, I thought it would be fun to create a Flickr group where you could post these pictures for everyone to see. I truly enjoy seeing your quilts and projects. I’d love for all of you to join the Fresh Lemons Quilts Flickr group!

There are also a few other new groups that you might not know about.

Modern Mini Quilt button

First is the Modern Mini Quilts Flickr group, created by Holly of Bijou Lovely. There’s already a lot of inspiration in there.

Finally, for the quilters *and* knitters, there is a new group called Purl and Patchwork. A lot of us in this group are new to knitting, and it’s a great place to ask all your newbie questions as well as be motivated by what the experienced knitters are creating.

I hope to see all of you there!

I can knit so easily. But sewing! So this could be very good for me: I’ll help with the knitting questions if someone will help with my idiotic sewing questions.

Yay for Purl and Patchwork! I’ve been knitting off and on for 2 or 3 years, and I love how many of my favorite quilters are getting into it. Maybe it will be the encouragement I need to keep it up and finish more than one project a year!

Joined the group and now going to mooch around there and see what everyone’s made – you’ve designed so many wonderful things, I bet there’s a whole bevy of beauties there – I saw a lovely Kona solids version of your squares quilt, stunning. And can I say that I love your blog header, buttons and graphics on your blog. I’m guessing you’re really clever and did it all yourself which is annoying because I’d like mine to look as nice as yours but I don’t know how LOL

Oh Lynne, what are you talking about, I love your graphics!! I did do mine myself, in my “former life” I worked in web development. If that helps make you feel better. 🙂

I wanted to state that I made your wonky star quilt. I have not added a back to the quilt top as I am unsure which color of Minkee I want to use for the back. I keep going back to black. I have pink and rose in my stash at the moment. My squares are 4 inches. I believe yours were 3 inches. I have so very much enjoyed making this quilt. The song “You Are my Shining Star” would meander its way into my head almost everytime I sat down to sew. I finally had to go to youtube and listen to the Manhattans and then on to Marilyn McCoo. Thank you so much for you tutorial on making the star pattern.
