New Fabric!

Art Gallery Summerlove

First, I just wanted to thank everyone who listened to my interview on Pat Sloan’s radio show yesterday! I truly appreciated all the kind emails, tweets, Facebook messages, text messages…I have the best group of friends here and I am forever grateful for all of you. If you didn’t get a chance to listen live, you can still catch the program recorded on the American Patchwork and Quilting radio show website. Also, speaking of Pat – she is doing a big Valentine’s Day giveaway over on her blog today, go check it out!

On to the fabric! The above huge bundle of beauties arrived over the weekend from the fabulous people at Art Gallery. This is the Summerlove line which will be available in March (with some of their wonderful solids and oval elements mixed in). I can’t wait to play with these! Any suggestions as to what I should make? My first thoughts were a string quilt.

You also may have heard that Moda has reprinted the super popular American Jane Pezzy print.

Pezzy

I thought I’d be able to resist these…but that only lasted about 2 days. This is a fat quarter set. You can find these at Fresh Squeezed Fabrics and Lark Cottons.

Don’t forget to stop back tomorrow for the last star tutorial of the Solstice Stars Series!

Oh, they’re too pretty for a string quilt! Wait until you have stringy pieces. I’ve started a quilt of the month that is free at craftsy. I think they’d be perfect for that!

The Pezzy prints are beautiful. I like the idea of a string quilt with the Art Gallery.

Love, love, love your blog. I’m feeling inspired to get the sewing machine humming. I’m a natural learning home ed mum from Australia and love quilting but have struggled to make time for it. I am just going to do it and get the kids in on it with me, great for measurement for math and our daughter loves using the pedal and choosing the colours to ‘match’! Our daughters name is also Faith Jones. Have a beautiful day, Renelle

Such beautiful fabric!!! I’m too new at quilting to offer you any advice on what to make with it, so I’ll just anxiously wait to see what you come up with! I’m sure it will be fabulous! 🙂

Where do you sign up to get people to send you wicked looking packages like that??? That’s what I’d like to know. I also shall wait and see what appears from that beautiful bundle. I really like your Lotta Jansdotter fabric and quilt in the previous post and am currently waiting for a Fabricworm package that will include some of it. Can’t wait!
