{Modern} Relief – Japan

Updated: Please see the Modern Relief Blog for an update on the fundraiser.

No doubt you have seen the devastation in Japan caused by last month’s earthquake and tsunami. The modern sewing community is once again coming together to raise money to help those in need. Modern Relief – Japan is a modern quilt raffle. Tickets are only $10 and you have the chance to win one (or more) beautiful donated quilts.

Simply go over to the Modern Relief blog, purchase a $10 raffle ticket, and you will be entered in the drawing to win a donated quilt. Each Monday, (April 4th -May 16th, 2011) a new group of quilts will be featured. No matter when you buy your raffle ticket(s), you will have the chance to win any of the quilts featured during the entire reveal month and a half. Also, you can win more than one quilt, so buy many tickets!

All money raised will be donated to Mercy Corps. Mercy Corps is delivering emergency supplies — including large shelters, tents, kerosene space heaters, blankets, instant rice and fresh produce — to families evacuated from homes in four tsunami-stricken cities in northeastern Japan.

I am donating my Off-Centered Innocence quilt to the raffle. It is a large quilt, measuring 60″ x 72″ and features fabric from Anna Maria Horner’s Innocent Crush line.

I hope you will buy a ticket (or more!), donate to a great cause, and have a chance to win. Our goal is to raise $5,000, please help us get there!

I love the back as much as the front. How generous of you!
