This year I am attempting to grow a few veggies in pots on my elevated deck. Our yard backs up to woods and we have a few deer that frequent our small yard, so I didn’t want to plant anything in the yard below just to have it eaten within a day. I also thought that watching vegetables grow would be a great learning experience for my 3 year old.
Last week we went and bought pots, dirt and a few plants and she helped me plant everything. She claims she doesn’t like peppers or tomatoes, but she sure likes looking at them.
I wanted some fun markers and came across the cutest shop on Etsy. I try to make it a point to look on Etsy whenever I am shopping. I know a lot of the shops are owned by stay at home moms like myself or entrepreneurs/small business owners. How cute are these garden markers?
I asked her to make the jalapeno custom and then she also made a custom orange tomato one so I’d have 4 different colors. She was so sweet, very communicative, I got them in a week even though she had to make them custom. They are a bit pricey ($10 each) but if you are looking for a fun gift idea for a garden lover, I think they would be perfect. I only wish I had found these before Mother’s Day this year.
She sells veggie, herbs, flower and plant markers. It’s probably good I already had herb markers, I’m not sure I’d be able to resist buying more if I didn’t.

I love those! They are really cute.

Thanks for the tip! That would be a perfect gift for John next birthday. He was just saying yesterday that he needs to be better about labelling things in our garden. 🙂

LOL Kara!
