I’ve loved pebble quilting but have always been intimidated by it and afraid to try it, your’s looks great. Love that second one too, I am such a fan of straight line quilting. Looking forward to seeing these in their finished greatness!! 🙂

When you do the organic straight line quilting, what kind of foot do you use?

Your pebble quilting looks great, and I love the not-quit-straightness of your organic quilted lines. Why didn’t I ever think of that? I struggle and obsess to make straight lines straight, but really, yours look so much softer and more appealing, especially with contemporary quilt designs. How do you do that? Do you eyeball the lines with a free motion foot, or use a walking foot, or what? Coming soon to my sewing room: Rebecca the Ridiculous drawing slightly wavy lines on her quilts, then obsessing about quilting EXACTLY ON THE WAVY LINES… 😉

Hi Sarah and Rebecca! It’s very easy to do the lines. I used my walking foot and spaced them about every 1/4″. Then I very slowly and randomly moved slightly back and forth as I was sewing. No marking required. 🙂
