I’ve probably mentioned before that making binding is my least favorite part of the quilt process. But boy is it pretty all made up. I do try to think about the fact that if I am making binding, it means I will be finishing up another quilt in the next day or two. And that makes me happy.

I have to say I love binding too… First I get to finally take my quilt into the living room and secondly I really enjoy seeing it all come together. Endless hours admiring my own work 😉

It really depends on the size of the quilt…and how much fabric I have to use. 🙂 But general I cut strips that are somewhere between 2.5″ and 3.25″. For this binding, I cut 3″ strips.

Wow, I am in the minority! I don’t mind hand sewing the back…it means I can catch up on my DVR shows and not feel too guilting about sitting around. 🙂

I am with you Faith. I have two quilts ready for binding and I keep putting it off. But that BINDING is beautiful.
Can’t wait to see the finish.

I love binding too, like some of the other commenters. I know I can do that really well, but its the machine quilting I get nervous about. Can’t wait to see it!

That’s what I’ve been doing tonight as well–just finished attaching it and now ready to hand stitch. It’s just a pillow though, so it will go quickly!
