Artichoke Garden by Corinne Haig

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been having fun playing with a new, beautiful fabric line, Artichoke Garden by Corinne Haig for FreeSpirit Fabrics. I just love the colors and designs in this collection. Corinne talks about being inspired by her California roots – and that’s exactly why I wanted to work with it. My parents are from southern California and I always remember them talking about artichokes! 🙂

FreeSpirit was nice enough to send me this fabric. I designed a quilt using *almost* every print. I’ve been busy making blocks and writing up a new pattern. I can’t wait to share the final results with you next week!

Artichoke Garden Blocks

I am basting and quilting today. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a quiet Monday at home!

Gorgeous fabric, and that sneak peek at your blocks isn’t too shabby either! I remember when artichokes were exotic and new. I still wonder about the first human to say, “This looks like we should eat it.” while holding an artichoke.
