Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head…

You know the song, right? Well I couldn’t stop singing it while making this quilt. All those adorable little umbrellas are an unstoppable force!

I just love the Rainy Days and Mondays fabric by Riley Blake. I paired 5 fat quarters with some green Katie Jump Rope flowers and gray Wishing Flowers from My Mind’s Eye (one of my new go-to prints now). Even though these aren’t colors I usually work with, I really like the look of this quite.

The back is a simple design, with coordinating solids. The binding is a green dot – stripes and dots just made the best bindings!

This one measures 32″ x 43″. I quilted it free motion and it’s nice and crinkly, my favorite! It can be found in the shop.

I’m off for vacation in the morning! Boy am I going to miss my sewing machine and my computer but am in need of a serious break from the daily routine. See you when I get back!

I don’t think I ever tire of looking at simple square quilts. This one in particular has such a nice feel to it. Oh…and I like the back too!

I adore Rainy Days and Mondays — I’ve got green umbrellas on my sewing table that I’ve been staring at trying to decide on just the right project for them.

    (And have a great vacation!)

I have the umbrellas in pink and I just don’t want to cut into it – they’re so cute! Great quilt. I love the color combo.

I have some of this fabric in pink and was just about to make a new pillowcase for my granddaughter. Rethinking that idea. The fabrics you chose to go together are perfect!

I love your quilt, the umbrellas are so cute, and the colors remind you of anything but rain!

Cute! Hi Faith, I found your blog from the ICS and am in L.O.V.E. Your quilts are amazing. I’ve been collecting fabric to make a quilt, but was never sure how I wanted to do it-but you have really inspired me! Thanks.
