Renegade Craft Fair

Today the family and I went into Chicago to the Renegade Craft Fair.  I received an email last week from Etsy about the show – they were one of the sponsors.  It was a beautiful day, 75, not a cloud in the sky.  There were a lot of great artists there and it was fun to see what’s new in the hip, modern crafting world!  I saw a purse made out of Flea Market Fancy and was tempted to buy it for the fabric!

I kept thinking about how cool it would be to have a booth and sell my stuff there.  But then I started having flashbacks to helping my mom at craft shows when I was growing up (she made and sold stained glass) and I decided it was better to be a consumer today.  :-)

A look at the booths, up and down the street.  There were a LOT of artists!

Etsy booth!

Hi, Faith! I just came across your blog from…well, I can’t remember how I got here! Something on Flikr…anyway, it’s so inspiring! I can’t wait to come back when I have some more time to explore (you know, when I’m not at work). I share your love for Anna Maria Horner fabric. My first quilt is a very simple charm quilt made of her Good Folks fabric (blogged here: http://kakorner.blogspot.com/2009/06/behold.html).
