Patchwork Throw
I finished the patchwork throw yesterday and I am SO excited about how it turned out. In fact, I was so excited that when the dryer buzzed after washing it, I almost fell running up the stairs. LOL (I wanted to post pics yesterday but it rained ALL day.) You might remember I wasn’t thrilled with the technique of sewing the blocks to muslin, instead of piecing them together. I wasn’t sure it would turn out right. But I think it just looks great! I already cuddled up on the couch with it last night while I was reading. I intended on putting the stripe a bit more to the side, but I had a cutting incident with the white backing, so that’s where it ended up. :-)
The quilt is made up of Amy Butler’s Midwest Modern lines and Bella Solids for the white backing. I quilted free motion style and it measures about 50″ x 70″. Overall, I’m very happy!
