Community Giving ~ Washington, Illinois Tornado Victims

Community-Giving.jpg

Many of your undoubtedly heard about the wave of tornados that passed through Illinois and Indiana last Sunday, November 17th. My family was driving that day, from Michigan to Illinois. We spent many of those 6 hours traveling through the northern bands of those storms (very scary) while hearing about the damage occurring south of us. When we got home, the pictures we saw on tv were really devastating. I grew up in the Midwest (Ohio) and I just have a real fear of tornados.

Last week Terry of Quilt Crazie shared with me some information on how you can help the victims of Washington, Illinois, a particularly hard hit community. I encourage you to visit her website and learn how you can help by donating quilts, pillowcases and bed pillows for those that lost their homes.

I know we are a generous community and can make a real difference to those that need comfort right now. I've also added the link to Terry's website to my Community Giving page - feel free to share with others who would like to help.
