100 Quilts for Kids

One of the best things about the quilting community is the charity that many quilters take part in. Katie of Swim, Bike, Quilt is leading up a great effort to see how many quilts we can donate to children in need.

100 Quilts for Kids is an initiative that runs from September 15 thru October 14. The goal is to make a crib or toddler sized quilt and donate it to the charity of your choice. During this month, you will have the opportunity to link to a photo of your donation on Katie's blog and Aunt Spicy's blog and be entered to win some fabulous prizes! (Including a few copies of my Off Centered Squares quilt pattern).

I'm not affiliated with any of the following, but some ideas of places to donate quilts...Project Linus, central Texas wildfire quilt collection organized by Modern Day Quilts, Wrap Them in Love Foundation, Newborns in Need, your local women's shelter or your local hospital. If you are still stumped, check with your local quilt shop and I am sure they know of organizations in your area that need donations.

I plan on donating a quilt and hope you will join me!
